GROUP 1 FIRE CLASSIFICATION

Warrington Fire Australia Assessment Report

K-13, SonaSpray FC and SonaKrete

International Cellulose Corporation

For the verification of fire hazard properties, the National Construction Code of Australia (NCC) Specification C1.10 requires that a group number of a wall or ceiling lining and the smoke growth rate index or average specific extinction area must be determined in accordance with AS 5637.1:2015 using AS ISO 9705 standard full room fire test method.

AS 5637.1:2015 sets out procedures for the assessment of internal wall and ceiling linings according to their tendency to ignite, release heat, cause flashover, release smoke and contribute to fire growth.

WHAT WE INSTALL

K-13

K-13

is a thermal and acoustical cellulose insulation used as insulation/exposed finish for its acoustic and thermal benefits.
K-13’s monolithic coating absorbs excess noise and provides an
R-value of 1 per 38 mm.

K-13 has a natural textural surface finish and is available in seven standard colours as well as custom dyed tones.

NRC range from .55 to 1.05

SonaSpray “fc”
is a spray-applied exposed ceiling finish
used for acoustical control. SonaSpray “fc” is applied as a monolithic coating to absorb excess noise and improve intelligibility.

SonaSpray “fc” has a refined texture and is available in four standard colours as well as custom dyed tones.

NRC range from .65 to .85

SonaKrete

is a premium acoustic finish
with a very refined, plaster texture. SonaKrete is spray-applied, then troweled
for a seamless finish, making
it ideal for historic renovation

or domed ceilings.

SonaKrete is available in two standard colours as well as custom dyed tones.

NRC range from .50 to .75

Acoustic Panels

are made from 100% Polyester Fibres with no chemical binders and certified low VOC. They are

lightweight, and suitable for new builds and retrofits.

Controlling reverberated noise can create an ideal and productive environment for offices, schoolshospitality, theatres and more.

Soffit Boards

are an insulated board sandwiched between two
foil-faced panels, for installation underslab and soffits. They are available in a wide range of thicknesses (25mm-80mm), lengths and widths.

Soffit boards provide a high thermal R-Value to meet specific commercial project requirements.

Spray Wool

is an unbonded, virgin glass mineral wool blown insulation often used with various proprietary adhesives as part of a thermal or acoustic system. It offers excellent thermal and acoustic performance and is lightweight.

SprayWool is white and customers may add a colour tint.
